A storytelling roller coaster ride through my life as a trans man, sex worker, survivor of domestic abuse, and a migrant from Eastern Europe.
The text addresses common struggles of sex workers, transmasculine people, and people assigned female at birth in a misogynist society. Mental health and conservative mindsets are constant underlying themes.
It is a bittersweet tale of being deeply failed by traditional structures - family, school, state - and the life saving power of community care.
I adapt the performance for the needs of each event, to match the tone and length.
